Reading Fanatics Stop Here!!!

OK. I know that you are stopping by my little place and reading about my wonderful crazy life. Dont try to lie. I have a hit counter. And I can read. So, even if you have stopped by and never commented and you are starting to feel a little guilty because you feel sneaky here is your chance at redemption. I am an avid reader. So much in fact that I thought it would be fun if I kept track of how many books I have read this year. Well, I think it sounds fun. You might think it sounds dorky. That is not the point. The point is that I am asking you to comment, yes comment, and let me know what you are reading, what you have read, or what you want to read. I will check out your blog (I will too, I havent lied to you yet have I?) and leave a comment or two. I am also going to post a weekly summary of suggested books and books that I have read. That way you can check back and get some ideas for yourself. See, everyone wins. So why dont you stroke my ego a little bit and follow along with my grand plan. You know you want to.

I am not reading anything these days and that is the truth. You can confirm that with your super keen powers of spy-ly-ness-ism.

So fuuny I just went to Barnes and Noble yesterday and got 5 yes 5 new books. Today I started "Bitter is the New Black" by Jen Lancaster.

I got 3 of her books also "Water for Elephants"

I also got "Things I learned about my Dad I learned in Therepy" writtne by Heather Armstrong. She is a blogger that I have been reading for 3 years. Dooce.com

I think she was the main reason I started blogging.

Well please share what you are reading now......

Ok Just the girl I wont ruin anything for you but we read Water for Elephants in my bookclub last year and no one really liked it. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on it.

As for me I read at least one book a month because of bookclub. this past months book was Remember Me by Sophia Kinsella author of the shopoholic series and my favorite books of all time.

Over the weekend I read another one of Sophia's books written in her real name Madeleine Wickham called Gatecrasher which I did like but it's not my favorite.

If you want something less Chic lit I highly recomend The Historian if you haven't allready read it.

Ok I hope that helps and I can't wait to hear about your picks. All and other than this month I usually have a post about the bookclub book for that month.

We did read both Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns both of which I thought were written very well but they just aren't my type of book. They were so sad and depressing and almost to real for me. I was glad I read them thought because I did learn alot from both of them.

If you love the Shopoholic then you really should read Remember Me. If you go back in posts I have a short review that doesn't spoil anything but it is a really good one of hers.

I just posted another comment saying thanks for putting my blog in your sidebar (thinking I might've already said thanks, but not sure) and now I see that I did. Sorry for the duplicates! LOL!
